About Us Sunnyside Community Services (SCS) is a community-based nonprofit centered on the belief that every person deserves meaningful support to achieve their aspirations – especially struggling families and individuals. SCS serves a diverse community of over 16,000 people of all ethnicities and income levels throughout Queens with programs that range from pre-K to college and career readiness, home care and home health aide training, Beacon and Cornerstone community centers for children and families, a vibrant senior center and full range of services for at-risk older adults including social adult day care for individuals with Alzheimer’s, and a city-wide program of supportive services for those who care for them.  With programs designed to enrich lives and strengthen communities through services and engagement for individuals at all ages, beginning with those most in need, SCS has been lighting up lives with programs as diverse as the people they serve since 1974.  For more information visit www.scsny.org or email info@scsny.org. Reading Partners NYC

Reading Partners is a national literacy nonprofit that engages community volunteers and AmeriCorps service members to support elementary-aged students on their path toward reading proficiency. The STEM Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing STEM education and enrichment initiatives, and to ensuring equal access to STEM learning opportunities to all. With STEM jobs (in science, technology, engineering and math) expanding at an accelerated pace, there is high demand for skilled graduates. The STEM Alliance is creating a network of learning opportunities to help inspire and grow the next generation of STEM leaders. Our activities are designed to: Enhance and expand STEM awareness, educational offerings, and extra-curricular opportunities. Obtain grants to support STEM education, enrichment and professional development. Promote connections between STEM education and career opportunities. Create a strong network of STEM educators, professionals, and other nonprofit partners to increase our impact.

The West Point Child and Youth Services program’s mission is to reduce the conflict between mission readiness and parental responsibility by offering quality programs and accountability for children and youth. YMCA of Ithaca and Tompkins County

The Ithaca YMCA was formed in 1868. Our current facility, built in 1980 and expanded in 2002, is home to a large and small pool, an NCAA-standard full size gymnasium, 3 racquetball courts, and much, much more. For those looking to get exercise or increase their fitness activity, we offer a cardio suite, circuit training area with 10-12 exercise stations, and a weight training room featuring our cross-training Octagon. We are a family-friendly facility, with nearly all of our facilities geared towards all ages. Reserve space in the pool for family swim, spend time in the youth and family activity area (featuring pool tables, foosball, and table tennis), or play basketball or pickleball (available certain days) in the gym! We offer two child watch options for parents needing some help — Lots of Tots for ages 6 weeks to 3 years, and Stay and Play for ages 4 years to 9 years. There is a two-hour limit for child watch, and registration is required; call us or stop by the Welcome Center to schedule.
