PowerPlay NYC is a nonprofit organization with a mission to advance the lives of girls through sports, helping them grow physically, emotionally and academically stronger.

PowerPlay NYC offers sports-based day school, after school and summer programs for 1,100 youth. Over 90% of our participants are youth of color (predominantly Black and Latinx) and most reside in low-income neighborhoods in the five boroughs of NYC. Our programs provide a safe space for our girls, assist in boosting their self-confidence and foster a healthy and well-balanced lifestyle. We seek to amplify their voices and build resilience so they can become change agents in their communities.

PowerPlay NYC offers day & after school programs (funded by 21st Century Community Learning Centers) which reach elementary and high school students with engaging activities and opportunities that empower them to reach their full academic and social-emotional potential propelling them on a trajectory to becoming healthy, resilient, college and career ready individuals.
