YWCA Western New York is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. Our vision is a thriving community without divide.
YWCA WNY supports over 3,400 women, children and families annually. Our programs help women attain self-sufficiency, help seniors secure safe, affordable housing that keeps them connected to the community, and help children grow in healthy, nurturing and enriched environments. We help people help themselves.
For over 150 years, YWCA WNY has been on the forefront of critical social movements, working toward a more just and equitable society. YWCA WNY responds to the needs of the community by providing high quality programs and services that promote racial justice and advance women’s empowerment. This commitment continues today through a continuum of comprehensive supports and services, focused specifically on individuals and families living with the inter-related issues associated with poverty and homelessness.
YWCA WNY actively participates in advocacy efforts that promote racial, gender, and social equity, advance economic empowerment, and support survivors of gender-based violence.
