82nd Street Academics is a community-based nonprofit in Jackson Heights, Queens, dedicated to helping children and families thrive in school and in life. Our mission is to expand educational opportunity—especially for immigrant and working-class families—through high-quality learning programs, warm wraparound supports, and strong school–family–community partnerships.

Where we operate
We serve families at our Main Site (Jackson Heights) and across partner school sites, including Hunters Point, PS 280, and Renaissance Charter School 1 & Renaissance Charter School 2 (Ren1/Ren2), with additional programming delivered at partner locations throughout Queens.
