Community Nursery SchoolCNS is a play-based preschool. We believe that children’s work is play and that playful learning supports imagination, creativity, curiosity, and a child’s innate sense of adventure. In addition to this, play-based classrooms create positive associations to learning that will serve children well in the long run. Our excellent teachers observe the children, facilitate social interactions, and may intervene to extend children’s thinking or enrich their language. During the school day, teachers offer some structured learning opportunities through circle time and a daily activity, but leave most of the day open for choice. This allows children to do what they do best- play! |

Temple Beth ElTemple Beth-El is an active center of Jewish life in downtown Ithaca and the surrounding area, providing cultural, educational, and religious experiences for all. The synagogue is affiliated with United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. Temple Beth-El welcomes Jews from all backgrounds, persons of any culture, race, ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation, and individuals of other faiths interested in exploring Jewish traditions.
