    The Capital District YMCA is seeking Full-Time Universal Pre K Teacher for our Kidz Lodge location in Clifton Park!

    Our Universal Pre K Teacher structures a developmentally appropriate educational experience in the classroom using methods such as storytelling, games, and activities. As a Universal Pre K Teacher, you will provide a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on building achievement and belonging in youth and relationships among other youth and within families.

     

     Starting rate is $25.00 per hour.
    This is a full time position with full benefits + a Free Y membership!
  • Required Skills/Experience:

    Our Universal Pre K Teacher must have the following requirements:

    • NYS Certified Teacher with certification in one of the following; Birth-2 Elementary Ed, Birth-6 Elementary Ed, Pre-K-2 Elementary Ed, or Pre-K-6 Elementary Ed is required.
    • Previous experience with diverse populations. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
    • Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.
    • Submission of NYS Medical Statement of Childcare Staff Form documenting physician clearance to work in a childcare setting as well as TB Test which meets Health and Social Service requirement.
    • Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; CPR; First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens to be completed within 30 days of hire.
    • Excellent organizational, communication and problem solving skills. Basic knowledge of computers.
