  • Job Description:

    The Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady are looking for Site Assistants in an after school program setting located in six Schenectady City School District sites. Site Assistants will be expected to report to their one assigned building each program day and will report directly to the Site Leader.

    Hours:

    Elementary Site: Monday- Friday, 2:00-5:30pm

    Middle/High School Sites: Monday- Friday, 3:00-6:30pm

    excluding school vacation days and holidays.

    Job responsibilities include:

    • Homework Help
    • Implementation of National Boys & Girls Club Programs
    • Engaging youth and teens in a fun engaging atmosphere
    • Supervising a group of students
    • Maintaining equipment and facility
    • Creating a safe place for youth
    • Motivating and encouraging youth participation in programming offered.

    Multiple summer employment opportunities are also available based upon After- School Program performance.
  • Required Skills/Experience:

    Applicants should posses the following skills and qualities:

    • Experience working with youth.
    • Team player.
    • Ability to multitask.
    • Ability to think on your feet.
    • Reliable transportation.
    • Must be on time and reliable.
    • Must undergo the BGCS background check process.
