  • Job Description:

     

    The Greene After School Program Site Supervisor will be responsible for the daily operations of the program. This entails ensuring that the program is running in accordance to regulations set forth by the Office of Children and Family Services, overseeing the Group Teachers and Group Assistants, making sure that the children are safe at all times and engaged in age appropriate activities, and communicating with the Youth Development Director throughout the school year.
  • Required Skills/Experience:

    Qualification include:

    • At least 21 years of age
    • An Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field, OR NYS Children’s Program Administer credential and one year experience working with children less than 13 years of age, or School Age Childcare Credential or other office recognized credential specific to school-age developmental period and Two years direct experience working with children under 13 years of age.
    • Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; CPR; First Aid; AED; Blood borne Pathogens trainings to be completed within 30 days of hire.
    • Excellent human relation skills, good organizational and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of the YMCA and its capacity to build strong kids, families and communities. The ability to articulate and model YMCA’s four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibilities are essential.
