  • Job Description:

    The Program Specialist will support the work of the School-Age Technical Assistance
    Resource Center (SATARC), a statewide initiative funded by the NYS Office of Children
    and Family Services (OCFS). The Program Specialist will assist in implementing the
    scope of work required by the SATARC contract, which includes providing technical
    assistance (TA), professional development, and ongoing support to OCFS-funded
    afterschool and out-of-school-time programs across New York State.
    This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in expanded learning programs
    who is passionate about improving quality, supporting youth-serving professionals, and
    advancing equity and access in the field.
    This position is 100% grant-funded.
    Travel, including overnight or weekend travel, will be required. Evening work may be
    necessary, particularly to facilitate training sessions.

    ● Moderates and facilitates in-person and virtual meetings, webinars, and trainings.
    ● Demonstrates excellent computer skills.
    ● Rapidly learns and uses software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Google
    Suite, WordPress, Asana, social media, and eTapestry.
    ● Resolves practical problems independently and adapt to changing priorities.
    ● Exhibit self-motivation in a non-traditional work environment
    ● Collaborates with partners and/or coalitions to advance the work of the field.
    ● Operates with limited supervision and successfully within a team.
    ● Displays a high level of individual initiative and creativity.
