  • Job Description:

    GlobalArts to Go is a NYC based multicultural arts-education, enrichment and entertainment organization, founded in 2006. 

    We need experienced Teachers to lead preK – 8th grade (4 – 12 year old youth) in classes and enrichment clubs during day school hours (9am – 2:30pm) and / or during afterschool hours (3pm – 6pm) at NYC public schools, charter schools, after-schools, summer camps and community centers. We are seeking specialists in the following area:

    • STEM thru the Arts,
    • Arts/Crafts,
    • Storytelling & Theatre Arts,
    • Yoga & Mindfulness,
    • Hip Hop dance,
    • Global / Cultural dances (all styles)
    • Circus Arts,
    • Music & Percussion,
    • Stepping,
    • Capoeira
    • Songwriting, Singing and Making Beats

     

  • Required Skills/Experience:

    Qualified candidates should have at least 5 years or more proven experience teaching 5 – 12 year old youth in diverse settings with diverse learning needs and diverse learning levels.  Must have qualifications = Flexible schedule to travel to different boroughs between either 9am  – 2:30pm during day school hours and / or between 2:30pm – 6pm during afterschool hours. Prefer candidate with NYC DOE fingerprints / PETS clearances. Must have: Strong group management skills, inclusive teaching practices, patience, creative thinking, flexibility, good communication skills, well prepared and organized, reliable, encouraging attitude and positive energy and a joy for sharing arts and education with young people.  A “people” person who believes in the power of the Arts to change kids lives for the better. Our team likes to make learning and growth fun for kids.  Must be willing to get fingerprinted (or already have them) and fulfill any required background and health screenings as mandated by certain clients and sites.
