  • Job Description:

    PS 11 Programs is looking for energetic, creative, and enthusiastic staff who will be dedicated to the growth and development of children to join our unique, enrichment-based, high-quality afterschool program. The program runs every school day from 2:00-6:00. Flexible schedules are available.

    General Duties:
    •Greet students, take attendance and supervise students during transition periods (arrival, snack time, dismissal);
    •Supervise students during enrichment activities; plan and lead activities in enrichment classes
    •Assist and prepare activities and materials for the daily program.
    •Ensure safety of students during all activities and address occasional emergencies;
    •Participate in professional development opportunities and work toward leading classes independently;
    •Interact professionally and appropriately with parents, teachers, school and afterschool staff.
    •Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings, as well as special events such as performances. Staff will be paid for their time attending these events which will be held outside of work hours.
    •Help maintain a safe, clean program site by participating in the cleaning and maintenance of our facilities and equipment.

  • Required Skills/Experience:

    Minimum 1 year of experience working with youth from 5 to 11 years old.

    Covid-19 Vaccination required

    Able to pass a background check.
