Just for Kids is a community centered non-profit organization that offers before and after school programming in the Amherst, Cheektowaga Central, Cheektowaga Sloan, Grand Island, Sweet Home, and Williamsville Central School Districts. We also offer programming in select private schools in Amherst, Hamburg, Kenmore, Swormville, and Williamsville.
Position Summary:
Program Techers support the efforts of the Program Manager to create and implement appropriate and engaging activities in a safe, supervised, and structured environment. Coordinate with the Program Manager to determine responsibility for administrative tasks. Support the point person for site needs during Program Manager’s absence. The Program Teacher will also work directly with groups of students.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities based on site needs; approved by Program Manager beforehand.
- Maintain general housekeeping of all program areas including program spaces and storage areas.
- Provide direct competent supervision of children and staff at all times, while maintaining ratios.
Schedule:
Afterschool programs follow the District/School calendar. Monday through Friday, from dismissal through the close of program (5:30pm or 6:00pm). Morning programs run from 7:00am until the start of school. Some staff work mornings, some afternoons and some a combination of both – We are flexible!

- Required Skills/Experience:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Two years of college with 18 credits in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field.
- Two years of experience working with children.
