Job Title: Youth Development Profesional (YDP)

Department: After-school Program

Reports to: Site Coordinator

Location: Varies, Albany Elementary Schools (New Scotland, Pine Hills, Delaware Community, Eagle Point, Albany School of Humanities)

Schedule: Monday-Friday  ( 2/3 pm - 6/7 pm)

Salary: $13.50/hour

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

Program Delivery
<ul>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Deliver Boys and Girls Club programs to club members in a fun and engaging manner. </li>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Receive lesson plans from Site Director and implement them during enrichment activity time. </li>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Maintain open lines of communication with other Youth Development Professionals, Site Coordinators, and club members.

Leadership and Supervision
<ul>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Oversee, support, and manage club members during program hours. </li>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Participate in periodical staff meetings and training as required.</li>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Co-deliver enrichment activities and programs with Youth Specialists.  </li>
</ul>
Risk Management and Maintenance 
<ul>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Ensure program areas are in compliance by understanding and implementing BGCCA and school district regulations for School Age-Child Care,</li>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Assist in maintaining inventories of all program equipment and supplies; ensure all related supplies and equipment are maintained in good order (cleanliness and upkeep of Program Area after usage)</li>
</ul>
Health and Saftey
<ul>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Ensure the health and safety of students and staff, by ensuring program areas are safe with evacuation and emergency procedures posted and first aid kits accessible.</li>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Conduct daily club member health checks and file incident reports to Site Director.</li>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Complete Foundations in Health &amp; Safety training and Mandated Reporter training.

Required Skills/Experience

CREDENTIALS, SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
<ul>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Must be at least 18 years of age</li>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">High School Diploma or GED Equivalent</li>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Background Check Clearance</li>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Criminal Conviction Clearance</li>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Physical and PPD Test</li>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Possession of a valid photo ID</li>
</ul>
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
<ul>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Experience in working with the youth</li>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.</li>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.</li>
 	<li style="font-weight: 400">Principles related to the development of youth between 4 and 13 years of age</li>
