 About Just for Kids

Just for Kids is a community centered non-profit organization that offers  before and after school programming in Amherst, Cheektowaga Central and Cheektowaga Sloan Districts, Grand Island, Williamsville. We also offer programming in private schools located in Hamburg and Swormsville.
 
Job Description
Team Leaders work directly with a group of kids providing safe, supervised, fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities in a structured environment.
 
What we expect from you:
Assist in planning and implementation of school age activities: It is important that we are always providing the strongest possible programming and you’re a big part of that.
Just for Kids programming is dependent on how well we communicate: Whether that be with your on-site Manager, parents, or students, we expect Team Leaders to bring professionalism to site every day. 
Having a positive attitude! Our Team Leaders are the focal point of our sites. They spend the most time with the students and have the biggest influence on the program. If you’re having fun, so are the kids!
We are taking care of children: We expect our Team Leaders to provide our students with direct and competent supervision in a nurturing, engaging and safe setting.
Impacting our community: At Just for Kids we pride ourselves on having a positive impact in the community and working well with numerous schools. We expect our staff to bring the same enthusiasm the kids have to strengthening our community.

Schedule
Afterschool programs follow the District/School calendar. Monday through Friday, from dismissal through the close of program (5:30pm or 6:00pm). Morning programs run from 7:00am until the start of school. Some staff work mornings, some afternoons and some a combination of both – We are flexible!

Minimum – 18 years of age or older, High School Diploma or Equivalent and two years direct experience with children 13 years of age and younger.

 

Preferred – 18 years of age or older with 18 credits of college coursework
