Understanding Sexual Development

 
Knowing about sexual development can help providers anticipate sexuality questions from youth and promote age-appropriate sexuality messages. This training will increase participants’ understanding of the stages of child sexual development from birth to 24 years and beyond. At the conclusion of the training, participants will be able to:  
 
  • understand a broad definition of sexuality, 
  • describe sexual development through the lifespan, including typical milestones; and
  • identify strategies to support individuals and families through these stages of sexual development. 
SACC Training Topics Satisfied: (1) Principles of child development
 
Coffee/tea provided.  Participants are welcome to bring breakfast with them.
Participants will receive certificates upon completion of the training
