Tricky Questions & Tough Topics: Responding to Youth Sexuality Concerns

Do your palms get sweaty when young people ask you questions about sexuality topics? Not sure what information to share regarding sexual and reproductive health? Join this three-hour training to learn professional techniques to help you communicate more effectively and confidently with youth about sexuality. Participants will also learn how to make good referrals to sexual and reproductive health care. At the end the training, participants will be able to:

  • demonstrate techniques to use in conversations about sexuality;
  • better understand their own values and distinguish them from their professional role; and
  • interrupt shame-based comments and offer healthy messages.

This session provides essential information every provider should know, including those who do not work within the sexual and reproductive health field.
