PASE Presents! PROOF: Picture Justice

Picture Justice is a creative photojournalism program designed to educate high school students about social justice issues right in their own communities. The Program puts cameras in the hands of youth and empowers them with the technical skill of the camera and then asks them to view their community through a new lens. The program fosters critical thinking and research skills; promote compassion and empathy for those affected by these issues; and equip students with the tools they need to communicate what they have learned to the public. The program’s ultimate goal is to create engaged citizens who feel empowered to be ambassadors and leaders in their communities and effect change.

As a result of this session, participants will...
1) understand how photography can be used as an advocacy tool
2) know how to implement a photography Picture Justice program in their community or school
3) be educated on the various PROOF education tools available to them as educators.

This is a presentation for a fee-based program. The fee is based on each organization’s budget capacity.

Coffee/tea provided. Participants are welcome to bring breakfast with them.
Participants will receive certificates upon completion of the training
