Description:

PASE Presents! LitLeague: Serious Joy in an Expanded Learning Time Curriculum

LitLeague is an exciting new literacy program that provides a joyous and interactive experience for young readers and writers. The result of a one-of-a-kind partnership between Scholastic and best-selling author and literacy expert Pam Allyn, the LitLeague curriculum can be used as effective after-school, extended day, enrichment, or intervention programming.

LitLeague creates an engaging social-emotional literacy learning environment where children participate in book-related activities including read-alouds, group discussion, independent reading, writing activities, games, songs, and more. Flexible daily time frames can range from 45 minutes to three hours, accommodating schools differing schedules.

In support of the National Afterschool Association Standards for Quality School Age Care, LitLeague is rich and varied in opportunities for students to build stronger human relationships and literacy skills in tandem. This program is a celebration of our students’ ideas, imaginations and own lived experiences with an emphasis on their own empowerment and agency as they master the literacy and communication skills needed for becoming confident and impactful human beings.

This is a presentation for a curriculum for purchase from Lit League/Scholastic.

Coffee/tea provided. Participants are welcome to bring breakfast with them.
Participants will receive certificates upon completion of the training
