The Career Development Specialist (CDS) advises participating youths (18 -24) years of age regarding career interests and strategies, job search methods, resume preparation and related matters including personal and professional development. The Career Development Specialist (CDS) is responsible to develop, coordinate and ensure delivery of workforce preparatory services by providing information, assistance and access to the resources needed to make appropriate choices about training, education and employment. The CDS works collaboratively with the OSY team (Education Specialist, Case Manager, and Retention Specialist) to ensure the delivery of career development services and facilitate linkages with community organizations to support students’ transition to employment and/or post secondary education.

Computer Skills: • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel is required and computer literacy. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor degree in Human Services or related field or four years’ experience working in social service organization working in career development services. • Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred.
