Job Description:

With community residents leading the way, the mission of Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation is to build a strong, sustainable Cypress Hills/East New York, where youth and adults achieve educational and economic success, secure healthy and affordable housing, and develop leadership skills to transform their lives and community. Position: Activity Specialist/Arts Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation has openings for the position of part-time Activity Specialist in the disciplines of: • Theater • Spoken Word Poetry • Choral Singing • Music Appreciation • Drumming • Dance Our afterschool program sites include elementary, middle school, and K-8 schools in Cypress Hills/East New York, Brooklyn. Our programs operate Monday through Fridays. These positions are $35 hourly. Principal Duties: Design and implement engaging, project-based curriculum for students. Work with staff team to produce a twice-yearly culminating event, to which parents, school staff, and community members will be invited.
