Description:

Developing Your Staff’s Toolkit

In order to be effective, afterschool educators need to have a “bag of tricks” on hand that allows young people to channel their energy, be ready to learn, and make learning fun.

This session will help supervisors support their staff to develop a toolkit of icebreakers and activities, and to keep youth engaged, especially during transitions and downtime. We will discuss where to find these activities and how to help staff access and develop them in order to aid in lesson plan development.

SACC Training Topics Satisfied: (1) principles of childhood development; (3) Child day care program development

Coffee/tea provided.  Participants are welcome to bring breakfast with them.
Participants will receive certificates upon completion of the training
