AmeriCorps has a vast array of opportunities for individuals who have the desire to make a difference. Mentoring, serving as an out-of-school educator, and working with afterschool and summer programs to increase their skills and resources are just a few of the many things you can do while participating in an AmeriCorps program. Below are the programs offered by AmeriCorps:

AmeriCorps State and National programs focus on meeting community and local needs in education, the environment, public health and safety, disaster preparedness and response.

AmeriCorps VISTA  is a year-long program that centers on poverty and revitalizing low-income communities. The program encourages participants to establish new quality programs to promote the overall success of these communities.

AmeriCorps NCCC is a team based, residential program in which participants dorm at partnering campuses. The program involves many different projects such as renovating houses, disaster relief, tutoring, cleaning trails and much more.
