 The American Red Cross has been an important part of the fabric of the Greater New York metropolitan area for more than 100 years, providing disaster relief services and educational programs to meet the evolving needs of an ever-changing population.

Helping New Yorkers prepare for and respond to emergencies is vital to the core mission of the American Red Cross in Greater New York. Each year, the Chapter trains as many as 200,000 New Yorkers to prepare for emergencies, prevent injuries and respond calmly and effectively when emergencies strike.

Lifesaving Skills Classes

The American Red Cross in Greater New York offers training classes for individuals, groups and corporations, enabling them to respond to disasters and life-threatening emergencies with practical skills and confidence. The classes include: CPR/AED (Adult, Child, and Infant), First Aid.

 The American Red Cross Corporate Emergency Preparedness Program provides the necessary tools and training to prepare your organization to “BE READY” before an emergency or disaster strikes.

Be Red Cross Ready (1-Hour Presentation)

• Teaches participants how to plan for emergencies and how to stay safe when an emergency or disaster strikes

• Provides tools that allow participants to train their family and household members in emergency preparedness
