Am I Normal? Talking about Puberty with Confidence

As trusted adults, youth-serving providers are inevitably faced with young people’s questions about their changing bodies. This training will help staff learn basic information on the stages of puberty, so they are better able to share healthy and accurate messages when the topic arises. At the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • support young people through the process of puberty;
  • identify communication techniques for speaking with youth about the physical, emotional, and social changes associated with puberty; and
  • identify common puberty situations that occur with youth and how to refer them to services or information.

This session provides essential information every provider should know, including those who do not work within the sexual and reproductive health field.

SACC Training Topics Satisfied: 1) Principles of child development

Coffee/tea provided. Participants are welcome to bring breakfast with them.
Participants will receive certificates upon completion of the training
