Description:

The impact of gang violence, family conflict, and mental health concerns all contribute to acting out behaviors of some teens. Often times, these youth are more challenging to engage because of their lack of trust in helping professionals. This interactive training provides a comprehensive overview of various creative techniques for communicating with and counseling tough teens. Specific examples of use of music, art, and communication techniques will be thoroughly explored and modeled for practical use. Participants completing this workshop will receive a certificate eligible for CASAC (section 2)/CPP (section 4)/CPS Renewal credit.
